Humming Pera is an avatar representing an ongoing exploration of sound, performance, telepathy and collaboration in networked virtual reality, currently through the online platform Second Life. Humming is a member of the Avatar Orchestra Metaverse, Odyssey Art and Performance and World Peace Jammers. S/he has performed with the Avatar Orchestra, as a soloist and as part of the Metanaut Duo with Gumnosophistai Nurmi at events screened in Europe and North America. S/he also curates and produces performance events where Second Life and First Life intersect. Humming's First Life persona is a composer, improviser and new music / sound art curator.
